BJP Government has launched the Ladli Laxmi Yojana Scheme for girls entering the age of 18, living up to the mandate given by the Parrikar led BJP party in the 2012 elections in Goa. This scheme ensures financial help of Rs. 1,00,000 (one lac) for marriage for Goan girls entering the age of 18 years. This scheme has been designed for parents to overcome financial difficulties during thier daughter marriage. This also help bring up the Sex ratio by discouraging the killing of girl child in the womb of the mother.
This is an excerpt from the 2011 Budget speech by chief minister Mr Manohar Parrikar with some details about scheme:
“Sir, marriage is a golden moment in the life of any girl. She enters into
wedlock and these golden moments are treasured and cherished throughout
her life. All our daughters would have been fortunate to realize their dreams,
but for lack of finances. To overcome these financial difficulties, my
Government would like to lend a helping hand to her, under the “Laadli Laxmi
Scheme” with a package of ` 1,00,000/- with our sincere blessings. I hope
that the scheme discourages the practice of killing a girl child in the womb of
the mother which is resulting in to distorted Sex ratio. I have provided 150
crore for the implementation of Ladli Laxmi Scheme.”
As per Mr Parrikar’s recent comments, the scheme will be started by the end of May 2012. This scheme will benefit girls entering the age of 18 years on or after 1st April 2012 and is not limited to any cast category and can be availed by any financial class. This means this scheme will benefit every Goan, rich and poor or of any caste. Requirements to avail the Ladli Laxmi Yojana Scheme For Girls By Goa Government will be update very soon in this article.

Laadli Laksmi or any other application forms should be made available on site. Many of the people dont know where the forms are available and where to submitt the form. If some one is having the idea also they are not sharing with others.
is it admissible only for the girls who are suppose to be 18 yrs on o after April, 2012? I mean what about the girls who are +18 at present? There is no helping hand for us?
sir
so this scheme will only benefit girls who have entered 18 on 1st april 2012 does that mean one can miss the bus if you were born before this peoriod there are many unfortunate girl parents who could not see joy in their girls cause of money the govt should also include this people who have already crossed 18yrs ,

Well, Iam very happy “Laadli laxmi scheme” God Bless those has planned for this scheme, But one way iam very, very sad because some girls could not get this scheme, about the dowry or no fiance and till now they are unmarried, so what is the benefit for this type of girls?
This is not fair, above 18 you have started this scheme means you must give who is above than 18 too, those also are girls and also they are suffering and you mention. Financial help, Financial difficulties for their PARENTS. So what is mean by this. Iam a Cancer Patient and at present I need money, and my Daughter is 21 so how she can get help of this scheme? This is your people very bad thought and you are making sick some girls and some girls are happy. Rule and Regulation must be equal for everyone. This is absulutly wrong. Iam sure which is above than 18 and who could not get this scheme, they are not voting anymore, that’s what I think.

what about those who settled in goa forever and not born in goa. what about daughtrs of ex-servicemen who are in goa after retirement. this means what….?
Where do the forms need to submitted?
Sir Parriker has really done a great job by introducing the scheme “ladli laxhmi” . but it was a bad news for my family as we are 3 daughters and along with my retired father in the house, my self got married in 2010 without any financial assistance from any sources just saved from my earning through a lowly paid contract job, and my second sister got married in feb 2012, just because of 2 months is my sister not to avail of this scheme? this is really not fair. None of us got any benefits of the govt schemes not even cyberage, not even the amount of Rs.2000 what girl students get for their education in schools and now not even this?????
Dear Sir,
This is related to Laadli Laxmi scheme launch recently, Sir, I feel it is an injustice to some of girl child, take an instance of myself, I got married in 2009, and am 30yrs I have one friend who is 36yrs old, she is financially sound, she has four brother and all of them work in Government office and I am the only child (after my bothers dead) to look after my old granny and Mom, and she will be benefited of this scheme but I was not so fortunate, I had to take a loan for my wedding purpose (1.5lac) which is still 1lac as of date. There will be many such young women in line with me, sharing similar situation.
Sir my request is to you, to make us also get the benefit or else amend the scheme up to age limit 30yrs and 10years additional to physically challenged and financially backward women, so we don’t feel of being leftout. Request you to kindly consider the above facts so that women like me shall not consider herself left outs or unfortunate, please reconsider.
Hope will do Justice to people like me.
Thanking You,
Siddhi,

although signing of ladli laxmi scheme forms are not mandatory to be signed by MP OR MLA,the other officers refuse to sign the forms if the person is not known to them personally.
South Goa District Magistrate.. Mr. Agarwal refused to sign my form. The principal of school or colleges would have been the right person to do it.it will be easier for ladli laxmis.
