Goa Assembly Election 2012 : Schedule and Cut-off Dates

With the elections in Goa on 3rd March 2012 following the announcement by the Election Commission, the activities of political parties is expected to boom in the coming days.

Chief Election Commissioner SY Quraishi announced elections in five states including Delhi,  Utter Pradesh (UP),  etc.

Welcoming the announcement in the state political parties including the ruling Congress and opposition BJP said they are ready for elections. Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Subhash Shirodkar said the party is ready for elections with coalition with the NCP. Nearly 10 million registered voters in the state of Goa.

Here is the schedule and cut off dates with respect to assembly  election on  Saturday 3rd March 2012.

GOA ASSEMBLY ELECTION 2012 DATES:

1. Issue of notification 06.02.2012  (Saturday)
2. Last date for making nominations 13.02.2012 (Saturday)
3. Scrutiny of Nominations 14.02.2012 (Tuesday)
4. Last date for withdrawal of Candidature 16.02.2012 (Thursday)
5. Date of polling (ELECTION) 03.03.2012 (Saturday)
6. Counting of votes 04.03.2012 (Sunday)
7. Date before which election process shall be completed 09.03.2012 (Friday)
